Founded in 1879 by James Fleming in the heart of Speyside, Aberlour Distillery is located at the confluence of the rivers Lour and Spey, a setting reflected in its Gaelic name meaning “mouth of the Lour.” Known for its strong focus on sherry cask maturation, the distillery has become a benchmark for rich and structured Speyside single malts. The Aberlour style is characterised by pronounced depth and intensity, combining red fruits, dried fruits, chocolate and gentle spices. Among its most renowned expressions is A’bunadh, bottled at cask strength and without chill-filtration, showcasing the distillery’s signature richness and power.
