Founded in the 19th century in Aberdeen by brothers James and John Chivas, Chivas Brothers is a renowned Scotch whisky company specialising in blending. Originally established as a luxury grocery business, the company evolved into a major force in blended Scotch whisky, particularly with the creation of Chivas Regal in the early 20th century. It is now part of the Pernod Ricard group. Chivas Brothers owns several distilleries across Scotland, including Strathisla — the oldest working distillery in Speyside — which forms the heart of Chivas Regal blends. The house is recognised for its smooth, balanced and refined style, highlighting malty sweetness and aromatic harmony in its premium blends.
